The European Lipidomic Meeting (ELM) gathers researchers and engineers from the Lipidomics field all Europe. The Lipidomics field, that is experiencing a major boom in recent years, consists in the extensive analysis of the complex family of lipids as crucial biological intermediates in normal and pathophysiologic biological processes. The main objective of ELM is to review the recent technical developments in Lipidomics analysis, to zoom on innovative approaches and to discuss their input in flagship research projects. ELM were held regularly since 2009 in several European cities (Graz, Pardubice, Swansea, etc ...) and bring more and more participants (ex: 160 participants from more than 25 nationalities in Swansea in 2015). ELM-2017 will be the 6th edition and will be held in Toulouse (Midi-Pyrennées/Languedoc Roussillon french region), and will be devoted to lipid imaging, plants and bacteria lipidomics, human health and bioactive lipids.
